Correct combinations can change fortunes, says Imran Khan over Pakistan’s poor show in Asia Cup

Pakistani cricket fans are disappointed over team’s poor performance in Asia Cup, first team led-by  Shahid Afridi  lost against arch-rivals India, then Yesterday, Bangladesh not only  drowned green shirts but also washed out the chances to take on India in Asia Cup final.

ODI  World Cup winner and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan criticised Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) overall performance, however, according to Khan, there is immense cricketing talent in the country and team which was selected possessed  enough potential to win if  right combination were applied.

Suggesting the solution  how Pakistan cricket can flourish,  Imran Khan said  Pakistan is oozing with talent but this talent can only be polished if PCB becomes an institution build on merit, including selection of PCB head purely on merit.

PTI Chief, doesn’t spared Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif who is patron-in-chief of cricket related body PCB, he said it is impossible that PM will appoint PCB head on merit as he always  tends to prefer his cronies and those people who are loyal with him.

 

Moreover, Imran Khan also tweeted about former New Zealand captain Martin Crowe, 53,  who is passed away today (Thursday) due to cancer.
