KARACHI: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif on Wendesday vowed to go to any length for a secure and terror free Karachi.
At Corps Headquarters in Karachi, COAS chaired a special circuitry meeting. During meeting DG Rangers Sindh Major General Bilal Akbar, briefed the attendants about ongoing Karachi operation including intelligence based operation.
According to press release by ISPR, ” COAS appreciated Rangers and other law enforment agencies for their successes in improving security environment”.
“He specially commended the intelligence agencies for achieving major break throughs in unearthing various terrorists networks in their bid to dismantle terror infrastructure and sever their linkages with terrorists cells and bases outside Karachi”, ISPR said.
On the occasion, Along with COAS Raheel Sharif and DG Rangers Sindh Bilal Akbar, Corps Commander, DG ISI, DG MI, were present.
