ISLAMABAD: Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi arrived in Pakistan on Thursday for a two-day official visit to discuss the schedule of the upcoming visit of Chinese President Xi Jinping, bilateral relationship, with a special focus on political, strategic, and economic cooperation.
During the visit, Foreign Minister Wang Yi will hold delegation-level talks with Mr. Sartaj Aziz, Adviser to the Prime Minister on National Security and Foreign Affairs. Chinese Foreign Minister will also call on the President Mamnoon Hussain and the Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif.
During the visit, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Chinese Embassy in Islamabad would also co-host the launching ceremony of Pakistan-China ‘Year of Friendly Exchanges’, as already stated by Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a press release dated Feb 10, 2015.
Federal official said, “Pakistan attaches great importance to its comprehensive strategic partnership with China. Such high-level visits are a regular feature of the time-tested and unshakeable bonds of friendship between the governments and peoples of Pakistan and China.”
