The Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan opposes the BCCI’s offer of playing Pak-Ind bilateral cricket series in India. Earlier in 2014, Pakistan and India signed MoU in which it was decided that both the nations will be playing six bilateral series between 2015-2023. Out of which one was scheduled to be played in UAE under Pakistan’s hosting in December this year.
But today it seems that BCCI has forgotten all the promises made, as PCB have been writing BCCI since long about the series and they weren’t responding it. And now after quite some time BCCI came with the proposal of Pak-Ind series in India.
The minister commented on this situation and also referred to the horrendous activities of Shive Sena towards Pakistanis, that it wouldn’t be appropriate to Pakistan to tour India.
The minister was with the opinion that Kasuri and Ghulam Ali were humiliated at the Indian soil by Shiv Sena and following this hate-driven against Pakistani citizen, it won’t be appropriate for Pak team to tour India.
Chaudhry Nisar further told that this one is his personal decision, however, the final decision will be taken by Prime Minister in this(Pak-Ind series) regard.
On the other hand, PCB chairman has also disapproved the choice of playing in India. He mentioned that Pakistan toured India in 2007 and 2012 but this time it should be played at UAE, which is Pakistan’s home venue after International cricket isn’t played in Pakistan due to security concerns.
