ISLAMABAD: Two explosions at capital city of Belgium resulted in deaths of 34 people on Tuesday according to Belgium media outlet VRT.
Federal government and political leaders of opposition parties have strongly condemned the attack.
Statement issued by Foreign office said, “We are deeply saddened to learn about the bomb explosions in Brussels at Zaventem Airport and Maalbeek Metro Station, which have caused loss of precious lives and injured scores of people. Pakistan sympathizes and offers its condolences to the bereaved families and the Belgian Government and prays for the speedy recovery of those injured in the terrorist attack.”
“Pakistan condemns this terrorist act in the strongest terms and expresses solidarity with the Government and the people of Belgium. Pakistan reiterates its condemnation of terrorism in all its forms and manifestation.”
According to Radio Pakistan, statement issued by President Mamnoon Hussain and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharid said, “The world must put up a joint resistance and fight against terrorism.”
“They said no religion allows the barbaric and inhuman acts of killing fellow human beings.”
