KARACHI: Regarding Independence Day celebrations, the biggest crescent flag of South Asia has been prepared which will be hoisted on August 14.
The flag, which is 60 feet long and 40 feet wide, will be erected at D-Chowk on August 14. The flag, especially fabricated for the Independence Day of Pakistan, has taken fifteen days to be prepared which has the total volume of 2400 square feet.
The flag will be elevated on a pool 212 feet long in front of the Parliament House on the Day of Impedance. Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will raise the flag in the federal capital to mark the beginning of August 14.
Prepared in Karachi, the biggest flag of South Asia is displayed at the shrine of Quaid-e-Azam where contingents of Pakistan Navy and Pakistan Air Force paid homage to the flag.
Moreover, the previous record of making the longest flag is possessed by India in South Asia with 207 length pool.
