Attack in Bacha Khan University Charsadda: Atleast 21 killed, Army troops reaches


PESHAWAR: On Wednesday morning, Unidentified gunmen attacked Bacha Khan University in Charsaddam, atleast 21 person killed, private media reported.

According to Asim Bajwa Twitter handle, “Clearance of university block by block continues by Army troops. No firing being heard”.


Rescue sources says 21 persons have been killed and 20 injured, whereas PTI MPA Shaukat Yousafzai, while talking to media said that atleast 25 persons killed during terrorist attack.


Eyewitness account:

A student speaking to Dawn TV said that the attackers were young. They were carrying AK-47 guns and wore army like jackets. ” There are no classes at the univeristy currently, there may be around 200-300 students in the hostel.”


Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) have claimed that they carried out attack on Bacha Khan Universty, Express Tribune correspondent Riaz Ahmed reported.


Chief Minister Kybher Pakhthukhwa Pervaiz Khatak who was on foreign trip, after the attack, shorten his visit and coming back to Pakistan, Samaa Tv.
