Army takes over operation against Chottu gang: ISPR


LAHORE: Pakistan Army troop have taken over the operation against Chottu gang in the area of Rajanpur, ISPR said on Saturday.


Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations Lt-Gen Asim Bajwa announced on Twitter that army troops have been deployed in the Kacha areas and have taken charge of Operation Zarb-i-Aahan.



Gangsters are well equipped and redy to take on LEAs,  Dawn quoted the police official, who told, “We are under attack by criminals carrying sophisticated weapons as some policemen have seen them using 12.7mm heavy anti-aircraft machineguns,”


Chottu asked authorities to freed his arrested men and vacate the place if police waned safety of captured men otherwise they would killed all of them.


The operation has been long and considering the hostility of gangsters, according to Pakistan Today, Punjab government has sought the help of Pakistan Army to end the operation successfully.
