The Accountability court acquitted Zardari

Islamabad: The former president Asif Ali Zardari is released from the polo ground case by the accountability court on Wednesday.

According to the court, the evidence against the accused was not enough and the former president is proved to be innocent in this regard. The case is raised against the construction of polo ground besides the extra unnecessary works at PM House, which were considered to be illegal by the NAB.

The allegation is referred to the orders of constructing the polo ground at the PM House during the second tenure of Benazir Bhutto when Zadora gave verbal orders to the chairman of CDA to build the polo ground at an estimated cost of Rs52.29 million.

Both the CDA chairmen Saeed Mehdi and Shafi Sehwani were accused by the NAB of constructing the polo ground in the premise of the PM House
