PESHAWAR: Unidentified gunmen killed six Internally Displaced Persons(IDPs) including two women here on Wednesday.
Police said that unidentified men intruded the house and shot down eight people belonged to the same family. The initial report revealed that the victims were IDPs of the Ali Khel in Orakzai Agency.
Meanwhile, Ali Khel is a mixed tribe consisted Shia and Sunni and is known as a pro-government and anti-Taliban tribe. The members of this tribe have been targeted by militant groups in the past as well.
The withdrawal of thousands of civilians from the areas of North Waziristan where an operation is currently being going on against the militants has become a major concern and challenge for the government.
A pamphlet has been issued in Peshawar said that the district administration would make school buildings of the Elementary & Secondary Education Department in Bannu, Lakki Marwat, Tank, Karak and Hangu districts available for accommodating IDPs from areas affected by the operation.
