ABBOTTABAD: Military honor was paid to Captain Akash Rabbani, who was killed by militants in Mirali, was buried in his ancestral graveyard in Habibullah Colony near PMA Kakul on Wednesday.
Earlier, the Captain was killed in while encountering with militants during the ongoing military operation against terrorists in North Waziristan.
The late captain was the youngest son of Dr Aftab Rabbani who is the head of medicines department in Ayub Medical Complex Abbottabad.
He was posted in 47 Artillery and after two years he was chosen for the training of Special Services Group. Later he was posted at Tarbela from where he was selected for the special task force posted in North Waziristan.
Dr Rabbani expressed his feelings for his son in these words:
“We all family members had many dreams for him but the honor he received is something different. Akash told us about his first major success in Miramshah when security forces traced a training center of suicide bombers.”
Further he said that his son desired to be used for bringing about peace in the country and avid to root out the terrorism from the country.
“The day is not far when efforts and sacrifices rendered by the sons of soil like Akash will bear fruits and Pakistan will be put on the path of progress and development,” said Rabbani.
Later, flower wreaths on behalf of President of Pakistan, Prime Minister and Chief of army staff has been laid on his ultimate rest place.
