PM Nawaz Sharif  to visit Norway on official purpose


ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is scheduled to visit Norway on July 7 upon the invitation of  Norwegian Prime Minister Erna Solberg.


Norwegian Prime Minister invited PM Nawaz Sharif to participate in the Oslo Summit on Education for Development.

In over a decade, it will be first official visit of any Pakistani leader to Norway.

It is expected that PM Nawaz Sharif will meet the Education Summit and would also interact several world leaders during the visit.


It is also expected that the PM Nawaz will have to hold delegation-level talks with his Norwegian counterpart and will also have a meeting with His Royal Highness Haakon Magnus, Crown Prince of Norway.

The visit will be an opportunity to strengthen the existing ties between Pakistan and Norway.

Premier will discuss bilateral as well as regional and global issues with the Norwegian leadership.
