Dr Zakir Naik has explained how love-marriage can be permissible with planting a hedge between girl and guy.

The well-known religious scholar, famous for his pithy and authentic response to those who asked live question in front of all his attendees, has explained the rules and regulations about love-marriage.

During his routine program, a young-man asked him to throw light on the issue of love marriage in the light of Islamic teachings. Responding to the question, Dr Naik replied in a light mood and termed love-marriage as Love Before Marriage (LBW).

He was of the view that ‘loving the girl you marry is better than marrying the girl you love.’ He said that it is allowed to see your future partner and even you can interact with each other but within limits.

He said that a guy can see and meet his future partner but she should be accompanied by her guardian and that there is not permission for the guy to take the girl with him for cinema and choose the last seat there.

Dr Zakir explained whole the thing with quite light manner which is his usual way of dealing such matters.

  3. The prophet pbuh said there is nothing better than marriage for the two who love each other..(Ahmad).Please contemplate on what this means. This is said for the couple who have already fallen in love.It’s not true that you fall in love with every girl you have an eye over,though it is forbidden but love is a mishappening not a planned incident..and that’s why our dear prophet pbuh has said that.

      The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “We do not think that there is anything better for those who love one another than marriage.” (Narrated by Ibn Maajah, 1847; classed as saheeh by al-Busayri and by Shaykh al-Albaani in al-Silsilah al-Saheehah, 624)
