The government on Tuesday announced to slash petroleum prices up to Rs 2.94 per liter under monthly fuel adjustment plan.
Finance Minister Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar met Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to discuss the prices of petroleum products for the month of October, as claimed in an official handout.
As recommended by finance minister, the Prime Minister endorsed the new prices. The petrol price has been lessened by Rs 2.94 per liter, high speed diesel 95 paisas per liter, kerosene oil Rs 1.31 per liter, high octane blended component (HOBC) Rs 1.88 and light diesel price has been reduced by 67 paisas per liter.
After new rates petrol would be sold for Rs 103.62 per liter, HOBC 131.13, kerosene 95.68, HSD 107.39 and LSD 91.41.
The revised prices are for the month of October and would be implemented from today (Wednesday) onward.
