More than 150 collaborators, turnover close to 93 and a half million euros, profits of 3.5 million despite the complex international situation: these are the figures announced Brescia newspaperrelated to Olimpia Splendid, a company established in 1956 (headquartered in Silateca) specializing in air conditioning, heating, air treatment and integrated systems in the private, industrial and commercial sectors.
Great Olympia in 2021
The turnover, we said: 93.4 million euros in 2021, a double increase (+10%) compared to the previous year (83.4 million). Earnings also performed well, as stated at €3.5 million: EBITDA (gross operating margin) instead settled at €8.1 million. Sales abroad fell slightly, but the Italian “weight” was significant thanks to tax cuts and bonuses for energy renewal and redevelopment. The staff also increased, from 145 to 152: among the inevitable sore points is the increase in raw material and transportation costs.
The amazing story of Olympia
The Olimpia Splendid brand was born in 1956 in Gualtieri, Emilia-Romagna, and to this day remains the headquarters of the company’s main logistics center, whose registered office is located in Silateca (as well as the operational headquarters). Founded in the fifties as a family business, initially specializing in the production of wood, gas and paraffin heating units: in the coming years, the air conditioning group was developed, reaching second place in Italy in the sale of portable air conditioners.
Celatica’s headquarters, as mentioned, is the headquarters of the group, while the logistics center is located in Gualtieri. The company’s international dimension – about half of its sales abroad – are in commercial branch offices in China, Spain, France, Brazil, the United States and Australia.
