Nursing homes are on the subcommittee to allow for home visits, and DHEC issues guidelines

Health officials have issued guidelines to allow inpatient visits in nursing homes and other long-term health care facilities in South Carolina. New guidelines from the Ministry of Health and Environmental Control also state that in some situations, “compassionate care visits” compassionate care visits are permitted regardless of the visiting policy at the facility.
