Therefore, you should be careful not to put yourself in a position to get stung and protect yourself.

Fortunately, there are some foods we can consume that seem to help ward off mosquitoes because they contain certain ingredients that make our skin unpleasant to taste and smell. And these foods are available right in the summer, so feel free to take advantage of them!

Responsible for the removal are certain substances such as sulfur, lemongrass, vitamins of groups A and C. Scientists do not know how to explain the negative reactions that insects experience when perceiving these substances, but we do not care. Garlic has different nutritional qualities but unfortunately the fact that it leaves an unpleasant odor in our breath makes it a food to be avoided, at least when we have social dates. However, it is that foul smell that keeps mosquitoes away. In fact, garlic contains sulfur, which is a natural mosquito repellent.

If we pay close attention, when we go to the natural spa which releases sulfur gas and is absorbed by our skin, we can hardly find a colony of mosquitoes nearby. For them, sulfur is an unbearable substance, and therefore they are very far from it. Lucky are the people who live near natural resorts but everyone should eat garlic to protect themselves.

Peppers also contain repellents although they are not specifically identified. But in any case, the important thing is to get rid of those pesky insects that sting us and create irritation that often struggle to heal. However, you have to eat peppers raw to have an effect, as when cooked they seem to lose their anti-mosquito properties.

One of the most fragrant foods is certainly citrus fruits, which have lemongrass inside, a natural mosquito repellent. On the other hand, we like lemon because it is a typical summer fragrance, refreshing and invigorating. As an alternative to a candle, we can eat citrus fruits, such as lemons, and they guarantee a natural barrier to mosquitoes.

Berry season falls just right to protect us from pesky insects. This time the vitamins in groups A and C seem to protect us from attacks. And we can make extensive use of berries because in summer we find: raspberries, blackberries, wild strawberries, currants, blueberries. A delight to our taste and an enemy defeated by mosquitoes.
