Castignano – Luna Angelini Marinucci, 39, is the new Consul of Italy in Brisbane, Australia, with territorial jurisdiction over Queensland and the Northern Territory. Born and raised in Castignano, in the hills of the Marche region, Luna Angelini Marinucci, after graduating from the Classical High School Stabili in Ascoli Piceno, graduated in “Economics and Social Sciences” at the Bocconi University in Milan.
During his undergraduate career, he spent a semester at Dartmouth College, in New Hampshire (USA), then enrolled in the final year of his master’s degree at HEC Business School in Paris, earning two Italian-French degrees. In 2013, she started her career as a statistical analyst at Banque de France, working on behavioral strategies for French investors in foreign stock trading. Then he worked for the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), in the statistics department, where he studied possible alternative measures of GDP per capita, which also take into account the well-being seen by individuals, in addition to purely income. He arrived, by competition, into the Diplomatic Corps in November 2018. From February 2019 to April 2022, in fact, he serves the Directorate General of Italians Abroad and Immigration Policies in Farnesina (DGIT), dealing with policies and initiatives for Italian communities abroad.
