McDonald’s is changing its menu for the summer, adding four new burgers, a new McFlurry flavor and for the first time… halloumi fries.
It is launching its own summer specials in two installments. First we will have the summer menu Taste of Italy, followed by Taste of Spain and Cyprus.
The fast food chain relies heavily on the theme of the summer holidays.
Here’s what you can expect from the new menus and the full list of added items.
When will the new McDonald’s menus be released?
The Taste of Italy menu will be launched on Wednesday 8 June across the UK.
The Taste of Spain and Cyprus menu will arrive next on Wednesday 27 July.
What’s in the Taste of Italy menu?
The menu contains two types of new burgers: Italian Stack and Italian Crispy Chicken.
Italian Stack Burger consists of two beef patties, mozzarella cheese, crunchy onions, rich tomato sauce, lettuce and a soft cheese sauce, all served inside a fresh toasted herb and tomato sandwich.
Italiano Crispy Chicken contains crispy chicken fillet covered with pieces of tomato, mozzarella cheese, pesto sauce, red onion and lettuce inside a ciabatta style toast.
There will also be a McFlurry with tiramisu, while the scoops of mozzarella are back.
What is on the Taste of Spain and Cyprus menu?
This menu will bring the Spicy Spanish Stack and Chicken Fiesta burgers to McDonald’s.
The Spicy Spanish Stack features two beef patties, spicy cheddar cheese, red onion, spicy tomato sauce, and lettuce inside a hot paprika bun.
Chicken Fiesta comes with crispy chicken fillet topped with chorizo, chili cheddar, spicy tomato sauce, red onion and lettuce, on a toasted bun with chili and paprika.
This is where halloumi chips will join the menu, in a bag of four, with tomato sauce.
There will also be a Spanish fruit punch on display.
Is there anything off the list?
Unfortunately, the McSpicy Chicken Burger and Grand Big Mac will both leave the McDonald’s menu on Tuesday, June 7.
Flick McFlurry and Raspberry Flick McFlurry will also disappear.
