LAHORE: Fan of Indian star batsman Virat Kholi, Umar Daraz on Saturday got bail from local court on Saturday, local media reported.
The additional district and sessions court in Okara accepted the bail plea of Umar Daraz, who has been in jail for over a month. On Friday, the court admitted bail request, and asked Kholi fan to submit surety bond of Rs 50,000. Today (Saturday), after submitting the bond, bill will be granted.
Umar Daraz, 22, trailor by profession was arrested on January 26 for waving Indian flag after Kholi made 90 runs against Australia which helped India to win T20 match in Adelaide. Police authorities called his act ‘against the ideology of Pakistan.
Ealier, Umar Daraz spoke to media, said, “I am a big fan of Virat Kohli. I support the Indian team because of Kohli. Hoisting of Indian flag on the rooftop of house only shows my love for the Indian cricketer.”
It is good for Virat Kholi fan that he can now watch his favourite player playing against Pakistan in Asia Cup.
