Nawaz Sharif arrives Karachi, likely to deal Rangers issue


KARACHI: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif arrived at Karach, will spend day , according to reports, will hold a meeting with CM Qaim Ali Shah and Governor Sindh to deal rangers issue. However schedule of the visit not mentioned any meeting with Sindh officials.


PM house press release said: “PM Nawaz Sharif will visit Karachi on Monday. He will have three official engagements: visit Port Qasim Authority to review developments plans of the authority; review Port Qasim’s power project and address an FPCCI function.”


From airport, PM went to Port Qasim where Port Qasim Authority chief gave briefing on performance, achievements and ongoing development projects. Chief said work on LNG terminal has been completed in a record time of 11 months. PM has directed to complete electricity projects by 31 December 2017.

Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, Defence and Power & Water Minister Khawaja Asif and Trade and Commerce Minster Khurram Dastgir accompanying PM Nawaz Sharif on his Karachi visit.
