MQM demands again to release its party workers

KARACHI: Mutta hida Qaumi Movement (MQM) once again demanded to release its party workers including its detained leader Qamar Mansoor.

In a press statement issued by the coordinator Rabita Committee, it is stated that the party is being targeted by accusing it of delivering hate speeches.

It is also said in the press statement that MQM is being dealt with double standards because no action is taken against the banned religious outfits over hate speeches.

The statement further added that all these tactics are being used just to crush the party and nothing else.

It is to be remembered here that Rangers had set a raid at Nine Zero early Friday morning in which it had taken many of MQM’s leaders into custody. Qamar Mansoor and Kaiful Wara were among the arrested leaders. The latter was released a day after but Qamar is still under custody.

DG Rangers, Maj General Bilal Akhtar had told in a statement that the arrested people are involved in arranging and facilitating hate speeches against Karachi’s peace.
