KARACHI: The Sindh Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) claimed on Thursday having captured four allegedly RAW affiliated terrorists from Karachi.
The seized suspected were identified as Mohsin, Abdul Jabbar, Shafiq, and Khalid.
After having arrested these suspects, Senior Superintendent of Police (CTD) Naveed Khawaja said during a press conference that the suspects these terrorists were allegedly running a network from different locations including India, South Africa, Malaysia, Singapore and Dubai.
“All the arrested persons are Pakistanis but they were working for RAW and trying to disrupt the peace of the city,” SSP Khawaja claimed.
He said that the arrested would be filed for hatching plots against Pakistan and its sovereignty. He also stated that the arrested terrorists have also disclosed information about bank accounts of traders and builders who received aid from RAW.
The SSP said that he provided the State Bank with collected information seeking legal action to be taken against the criminals.
He also said that the arrested terrorists have given information concerning cached explosives and arms, which would be recovered after further investigation and interrogation.
After initial interrogation, SSP said, one of the arrested has agreed to become a chief witness for the said cases.
