Former SSP Malir escapes terrorist attack


KARACHI: On Saturday night five suspected militants attempt to kill former SSP Malir, when he was along with police convoy going through the Malir Link Road. According to the reports police personnel remain unhurt, giving reply to the assailants, five of them were killed at the spot.


Former SSP told that he was returning from the residence of martyr DSP Fateh Muhammad, who got died in terrorist attack early on Friday. According to the reports, unidentified armed assailants in one car and three motorcycles hurled three of hand grenades, from which two of them didn’t explode. After grenade attacks, attackers opened fire on the police convey.


According to the sources, five of the terrorists were killed and five of them successfully fled away from the spot.
Rao Anwar told that hand grenades and other weapons were recovered from the killed assailants,however,by their appearances they look to be from TTP.

Although according to the police officials a thorough search operation is launched in the area to reach the suspects behind the target killing. As in last several days incident of target killing have increased in Karchi, as operation against terrorists under security personnel was going successfully.
