KARACHI: Chairman of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari announced on Tuesday Rs 150 billion package for development in Karachi.
“The package will be including 181 development schemes for the megapolis, while monitoring teams comprising of representatives from political parties, civil society and media will be formed to ensure transparency in utilisation of funds,” provincial minister for local bodies Nasir Hussain Shah said during a press conference at Sindh Secretariat.
As he stated, the funds dedicated for development in Karachi are only aimed for the populace and nobody would be permitted to devour this money.
On a question regarding coalition being formed against PPP, the minister responded that such coalitions have been shaped in the bygone days and that party always would be standing firmly against them.
Earlier today, PM Nawaz Sharif had announced a massive package for the farmers and the development of agriculture.
