SHC orders to remove Ayyan Ali’s name from ECL


KARACHI: Singh High Court (SHC) on Monday ordered the  relevant authorities to remove ace model Ayyan Ali’s name from Exit Control List (ECL).


After SHC directives, the additional attorney general requested time to implement the court orders after that court stayed its orders for further ten days.

Model had filed a plea in the SHC saying that her mother is ill and wanted to accompany her for medical treatment abroad.

Ayyan was arrested on 14th March 2015, on charges of money laundering, after customs officials recovered $506,000 from her luggage at Islamabad’s Benazir Bhutto International Airport before she could reportedly board a flight to Dubai.She was granted bail in July last year after spending around four months in Rawalpindi’s Adiala Jail ─ and after her judicial remand was extended at least 16 times.

Ayyan was arrested from  Islamabad’s Benazir Bhutto International Airport on 14th March, on charges of money laundering, after around $506,000 from her language were found, she was arrived to take flight to Dubai. After spending almost four months in Rawalpindi’s Adiala Jail
