As the district administration pull out all powers from the police to use force against the marchers, most of the senior police officers were avoiding their duties in the Red Zones.
Deputy Commissioner Mujahid Sherdil has in his fresh orders prohibited the police with the use of tear gas shells and rubber bullets. Additionally, the weapons have been taken back from the security forces.
Sources from officials present at red zone told media that instead complying the orders of capital administration, most of the supervisory police officers were avoiding their duties in the Red Zone.
They said the railway police personnel had not reported to their duty spot at Constitution Avenue for the last two days. Moreover, the officers of the Punjab and AJK police also remained absent from the duty spots.
The numbers of police manpower was significantly decrease on the Constitution Avenue and those who present at their duty choose to remain at a distance from the marchers.
Instead countering the marchers, the Punjab and AJK police ran backward even they were directed by the available officers. The sources added that a little number of police officials acted upon the orders.
