Islamabad: On Monday Supreme Court suspended, election tribunal’s decision regarding disqualification of Punjab Minster for Prisons Chaudhry Abdul Waheed Arain.
He was the elected MPA from PP-196, was disqualified on February 5 due to possessing two national identity cards.
In 2013 general elections Chaudhry got 33030 votes and his competitor, Rana Abdul Jabbar, who was a contestant of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) got 28826 votes.
Later on, Rana filed petition against PML-N minister. Petition states that Arain was using two national identity cards, one for his parliamentary affairs and other for his bank accounts and property dealing.
