ISLAMABAD: As the given deadline expired, the processions led by Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) and Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) charged towards the Red Zone to protest in front of the Parliament House, even as the government, opposition members and the army appealing all advisers to close the impasse through negotiation.
Immense crowd led by the PAT and PTI accumulatively removed containers blocking their ways and head to Attaturk Avenue and onto Constitution Avenue in the Red Zone, crossing the Supreme Court and parking themselves in front of the Parliament House.
Earlier, however, before charging towards PM House, PTI chief Imran Khan warned the PM to step down till Wednesday lest the party should march onto the MP House.
“We will march towards the PM House if Nawaz Sharif does no resign till tomorrow [Wednesday],” said PTI chief Imran Khan told his supporters as they marched towards the Parliament House.
The marchers have not been resisted by the government; however, the army has been deployed at the sensitive buildings in the Red Zone.
Moreover, Nawaz Sharif had reached the PM House just few moments ago after attending the session in NA.
