Taken as robbers, police shot two school-boys in Faisalabad


FAISALABAD: Police aimed at two teen-aged who were taking selfies with a toy pistol in hand on the Susan Road on Monday.


Police alleged that the boys were robbers and a pistol was recovered from them.

The boys, identified as Farhan, 15, and Fahad, 14, were reportedly taking pictures to post them on Facebook with a toy pistol when Faryad Husain, the station house officer (SHO) of Peoples Colony opened fire at them without any warning or admonish. Subsequently, both the boys got injured and were rushed to the district headquarters (DHQ) hospital by police who reportedly fled after realizing their mistake and coming to know that the boys were students of a private school.


The wounded Fahad told the media that Farhan and he were taking pictures the moment SHO reached there in the company of his subordinates and immediately opened fire after coming out from their van.

On the other hand, police claimed that SHO received a call that some armed robbers were looting people on the Susan Road. The said that when police reached the area, the armed men opened fire on police to which it combated with opening the fire at them. They allegedly said, two robbers, including Farhan of Peoples Colony, sustained injuries while their accomplice got escaped.
