Shahbaz Sharif launches ‘Khidmat Cards’ scheme to assist special person with 2bn

LAHORE: The Punjab government led-by Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has launched ‘Khidamat Cards’ programme with two billion rupees for providing financial assistance to special persons on Tuesday.

At inception, two hundred thousand people will be able to take benefit from scheme. Under the programme, special person will be provided 36,00 rupees after every three months.

Shahbaz Sharif at launching ceremony while speaking said, the objective of the scheme is to empower the special person financially. He said special persons have equal rights in the country.

The programme will be monitored at every level, and it will be implemented transparently, CM added.

On the event, Shahbaz Sharif was accompanied by Chairperson of Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) Marvi Memon.

Punjab government has also launched online Registration  form for those who are willing to avail the scheme.
