MULTAN: A blast near Vehari Chock left 10 dead and 35 wounded. According to the initial investigation, it is acquired as a cylinder blast.
The deceased and injured were shifted to Nishtar Hospital, Multan and emergency was imposed in the hospital.
According to the onlookers, the blast occurred in a rickshaw, which later engulfed the vehicles nearby.
The security personnel cordoned off the area and probe is under way. According to the CPO Azhar Ikram, suspicious dead body is found at the sight of incident.
Although, yet final decision about the nature of the blast can’t be made. CM Punjab Shahbaz Sharif has also directed authorities to probe down the incident and make compact report in this regard.
Prime Minster Nawaz Sharif has express condolences on the the attack and has also asked to pray for the departed souls.
According to the sources, it was a huge blast as its sound was heard in several parts of the city.
