The people of Mianwali spoke for the support of Imran Khan’s stance in asking for land to construct Namal Knowledge City in the city.
‘You may practice politics on several other issues but knowledge should be stay away from politics’, they requested the Information Minister Pervez Rashid, who highlighted the issue following Imran Khan’s admonishing the Mianwali people to donate their lands.
The man termed Imran Khan as ‘son of Mianwali’, who always have a funny way to talk with the people of his home town. He clarified that Imran didn’t threaten anyone regarding donation of lands but rather it was his funny side of conversing with his people.
‘Imran has no personal benefits from this project. We can sacrifice our lives for him,’ said a citizen.
Another citizen added that Imran Khan has constructed the College for the people and that children will get education from the institute to get good job opportunities. ‘Imran Khan is asking for a piece of land, which is famine, where no cultivation could be done,’ added the citizen.
Earlier, the media and especially the opposition, ruling party, had criticised Imran Khan after his asking the people to donate their land admonishingly.
