Lahorees are goint to have their own Disneyland-like theme park at Lahore-Islamabad M-2 Motorway near Kala Shah Kaku.
Director General of Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) Shakeel Ahmad confirmed that following the surveying various sites, the Chinese company, Golden Bean, has come to a conclusion that Pakistan’s first Disneyland-type theme park would be constructed on the M-2 Motorway.
“It is a huge project and will take around two years to complete,” added the Director General.
Lahore Division Commissioner Abdullah Khan Sumbal stated that the Punjab government works as facilitator in building the project.
The Chinese company is committed to spend Rs32 billion for the purpose.
“Golden Bean will work on construction, procurement of land and execution of the project,” said Sumbal.
The commissioner also said that the Punjab government has ensured to supply electricity without any pauses through special feeders to support the project.
“The government would also build an approach road for the proposed amusement park,” added Sumbal.
He further said that the planned theme park would also feature a five-star hotel, water aquarium, business and shopping centres, advanced rides and a stunning rollercoaster.
The dreamland like theme park would be covering an area of 320 to 350 acre and will be accessed directly from M-2 Motorway.
