LAHORE: The Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif inaugurated Instrument Landing System (ILS) Cat-3 B at Allama Iqbal International Airport in Lahore on Satureday to tackle the fog issue in winter.
The technology is instaled to address the problems of landing of the planes during foggy weather as it would help the air-crafts to land safely at the time of thick fog as well as rain or blowing snow.
Shahbaz was briefed about the way the newly instaled system would carry our functions.
Apart from that, talking to media persosn just before boarding for UK, the CM said that Pakistan and Briton have great economic and friendly ties.
He said that his visit would further instigate the mutual relations between the two countries.
Meanwhile, number of flights delay during winter every year due to excessive fog around the areas of runway as they also covered with greenish lands. The delay cause much lose to the travellers as well as to country’s economy.
However, the advanced technology would curb the delay in flights.
