Punjab govt disallow preaching and stay in Universities


LAHORE: The Punjab government on Friday banned preaching activities in universities across province, Dunya News reported.


According to notification, Tablighi Jamat members will not be allowed to enter educational institutions. The administration will devise a system of intelligence.

Notification also said that, mosques of university campuses will be delivering the sermons approved by concerned authorities.

After Bacha Khan University attack, government has formulated new security plan for the institutes.


Moreover, according to report, Home Department and Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) will be taking actions against those who will be found guilty of spreading sectarian hatred on social media platforms.

Complete ban have been imposed on the non-student to stay in educational institutes. The administration has asked to take strong action to stop drug usage and weapons in the premises.

Every educational institutions asked to rectify defects and loop holes pointed out by the officials within fifteen days.
