PPP decides to reshuffle Sindh Cabinet after Dubai meeting


KARACHI: The top leadership of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has decided to remove portfolios of ministers who have performed poorly. Muncipality and Urban department taken from Sharjeel Memon and assigned to Nasir Shah. Sindh Minstry for Education and Literacy is assigned to Mir Hazar Khan Bijarani that was first under the Nisar Ahmad Khuhro. Works & Services Department is assigned to Sharjeel Memon that was under supervision of Mir Hazar Khan Bijarani.


The meeting that was held in Dubai was attended by Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Co-Chairman PPP Asif Ali Zardari, Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah, Murad Ali Shah, Information Minister Sindh Sharjeel Inam Memon, Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari, Faryal Talpur, and former interior Minister Rahman Malik.


The meeting was held with an aim to reshuffle the Sindh Cabinet and it was expecting that major changes will be implemented in the provincial ministers designations. In the high-profile meeting, PPP top leadership has decided to remove or switch portfolios of ministers who have performed poorly.

Before today meeting, changes in top provincial bureaucracy has been made before Eid-ul-Fitr by the party leadership. These changes include: removal of Karachi Police Chief, Karachi Metropolitan Corporation Administration, the provincial cooperation department secretary, the Hyderabad administrator and 10 deputy commissioners. However, all these removals were listed in the agenda of today meeting.
