PM Nawaz Sharif arrives in Gilgit-Baltistan


GILGIT: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif arrives in Gilgit-Baltistan on a day-long visit to inaugurate development projects, reported by Radio Pakistan.


PM will inaugurate many development projects in Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) that includes cardiology hospital, boosters of PTV (at Chilas, Gahkuch, Khaplu and Shigar), Jaglot-Skardu road, 16 MW Naltar Power Project.


During a day-long visit, he will preside the meeting of GB Council, meet the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) GB office bearers and address a public gathering. Federal Minister for Information Pervaiz Rasheed, Special Assistant to PM Irfan Siddiqui, Political Secretary Dr. Asif Kirmani, National Highway Authority Chairman Capt. Muhammad Safdar, MNA Tariq Fazal and Chairman Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) Marvi Memon are also with PM.

PM was received by Governor GB Chaudhry Barjess Tahir, caretaker Chief Minister, and senior government officials and the party leaders of PML-N.
