KARACHI: Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has cut down its fares for its several international destinations.
As per sources, PIA has announced a decrease by 30 % in the fare of business class whereas a decrease by 20 % in the fare economy class tickets.
The destinations for which the fares have been cut down include New York, Toronto, Paris, Milan, Copenhagen, Beijing, Kuala Lumpur, Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Marketing Director PIA, Khurram Mushtaq said that the rates have been revised for providing cheap travel to the nation along with generating more revenue for the organization.
The recent announcement came forward after the recent continuous cut down in oil prices in the international market during the last couple of weeks.
As the government has announced the reduction in oil prices in the country from September 1, in the same way PIA also reduced the fares for its international destinations.
Earlier during the holy month of Ramadan, PIA had cut down the fares for its domestic flights especially on Eid days.
