NA-101 by-election: Polling underway, PML-N, PTI fancy chances

ISLAMABAD: Polling for by-election in NA-101 Wazirabad on Tuesday  is underway.

Seat got vaccted after, PML-N  Justice (r)  Iftikhar Cheema was de-seated by the Supreme Court on the petition of Mohammad Ahmad Chattha, son of Hamid Nasir Chattha.  Apex court  in his decesion, said that PML-N MNA did not declare the assests of his wife in a transparent manner and order by-polls.

The PML-N has again gave ticket to Justice (r) Iftikhar Cheema , wheeras Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has given the ticket to former minister Hamid Nasir Chatta’s son who had contested 2013 election from PML-J.

According to local analysts, PML-N will easily regain thr seat just like it did in NA-153 by-polls. Son of Hamid Nasir Chatta had got more than fifty thousands in general elections and PTI candidate could managed about 11 thousand votes.  But PML-N has federal government and candidate enjoys good reputation. PML-N has every chance to win the seat without any fuss.
