PESHAWAR: Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan on Wednesday laid the foundation stone of Khyber Pakthunkhwa first ever public Zoo in Peshawar.
Speaking after the ground-breaking ceremony of the zoo, Imran Khan said Zoo is a necessity in a city for kids and families, it will provide recreational spot to the people of terrorism-stricken province.
“Zoo & Parks are rights of people, we’re not doing any favour on them. When we start investing on our People, thats called Real Tabdeeli .Progress is when you invest on people, their minds & on their development”, PTI chairman further added.
On the occasion CM KP Pervaiz Khattak said Zoo should be completed in next 8 months. Talking another programme of PTI government, he said, “Food Street in Hayatabad will start from March”.
The idea of the Zoo in Peshawar was given to previous CM KP Amir Hiader Hoti by private school students, when they submitted petition to the provincial government asking for Zoo.
