PPP FATA leader Akhunzada Chitan’s son kidnapped in Bajaur


Pakistan People Party (PPP) central executive committee member also party’s coordinator in FATA Akhunzada Chitan’s young child was abducted on Monday from outside his home.


The kidnapping by unidentified person has been confirmed by the Chitan family as well as political administration official. They said, the nine-year-old boy was going to school along with his brother, Hassan Ali, when kidnappers came closer to them in a car and took him with them.

As soon the news spread, the officials of political administration have cordoned off all exist and entry ways of the agency and are in search for Chitan’s son.

The ex president of the party, Asif Ali Zardari has expressed solemn concern over the incident and called for early and secure recovery of the child. He also condemned the kidnapping and said he was seriously concerned about the safety of the boy and appealed Bajaur Agency administration to recover him and bring the criminals and involved hands to book.


Chitan, PPP MNA from 2008 to 2013 was also a rights activist for FATA rights and outspoken in rivalry to non-state actors in media.

Previously in May this year, Akhunzada Chitan’s convoy was attacked in Manogi Salarzai, Bajaur agency.
