PESHAWAR: This time again Pakistanis will celebrate two eids in the country as it had happened many times in the past. Pathans of KPK once again succeeded in sighting the Shawaal moon in the sky and are going to celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr on Friday.
An unofficial Ruet-e-Halal Committee in Peshawar held the meeting to sight shawaal moon and they collected about 12 shahadah of moon sighting. On the basis of those shahadah, Halal Committee announced to observe eid-ul-Fitr on Friday all over the KPK.
Moreover, 30 shahadah were collected in Bannu even earlier than Peshawar and the local ulemas also announced to observe eid-ul-Fitr on Friday as well.
However, the central and main official Ruit-i-Halal Committee is scheduled to meet today (Friday) for the sighting of Shawaal moon. It means rest of Pakistani will celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr on Saturday or may be on Sunday if the moon is not sighted today.
Earlier at the start of Ramadan, the day when moon was sighted in Saudi Arabia and other Middle east countries, people of KPK announced to have sighted Ramadan moon and they started fasting along with Saudi Arabia.
