Parachinar blast: At least 15 killed, dozens wounded


Parachinar: A blast has been reported on Sunday in Eidgah market of Kurram tribal agency’s Parachinar area, which caused life loss of over 15 people and other dozens were injured.


With so far the updates yet nature of the bomb is not confirmed that whether it was a suicide attack or a remote controlled blast.

The blast occurred at the site of the market of used clothes Landa Bazaar as the busiest bazaar of the area was ongoing as people were out on a public holiday to buy the clothes upon winter arrival.


Rescue teams arrived immediately on the site and transported the injured to the District Headquarters Hospital (DHQ) Parachinar. Further, the security personnel cordoned off the crime scene and are probing down the incident.

Sources also told that among dozen injured, several of the people are critically injured that symbols that the death toll will increase due to blast.

Up the latest update, sources also told that two suspected people were taken into custody from the area of the blast and further the initial investigation told that the blast was carried out by using planted device in the busy market.
