ISLAMABAD: Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) denies the PTI’s intervention over Mian Iftikhar’s arrest and lambastes his political rivals, who alleged Imran Khan of using his government power in KP and arrested ANP’s central leader.
Early, on Sunday ANP’s Iftikhar Hussain was arrested over killing of PTI worker on Saturday night. A case was registered against Iftikhar Hussain and his guards over the complaint of deceased’s father.
PTI chairman told that KP police was not under political influence as it is in Punjab and Sindh.
” This is not the Sindh police taking action against Zulfiqar Mirza. We did not order the arrest nor we can order a repeal,” said Imran Khan pointing towards Asif Ali Zardari co-chairman Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP).
Earlier the day, Asif Zrdari said,” The arrest of political opponents like Liaquat Shabab of PPP and Mian Iftikhar of ANP only belies claims made by Imran Khan that there are no political prisoners in the province,” Zardari criticising over the arrests in KP.
Imran Khan termed LG polls in KP as revolution, said “Never has an election of this scale been conducted in Pakistan. Both PML-N and PPP have led provincial governments six times each, but have yet to conduct local government elections.”
