Peshawar: On Sunday morning a heavy blast took place at the site of Phando Chow area, which left left four people injured. Initial reports suggest that it was an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blast which was detonated near the car of Qari Salahuddin.
The blast was also heard in the far away areas of Peshawar as it was a remote-controlled bomb containing three kilograms of explosive material, told the Bomb disposal Squad after the initial investigation.
After the incident, law enforcement agencies and rescue team rushed to the site, four of the injured of the incident were taken to the Lady Reading Hospital, Peshawar. The security personnel cordoned off the area and starting probing down the incident.
The initial probe tells that Qari Salahuddin was the target of the culprits who set a remote-controlled bomb near his car.
Intelligence Sources claimed that, the target of this attack was Qari Salahuddin who is freedom fighter of Jamatud Dawa.
Although, all such claims were denied by the local police officials as DSP Khalid claimed that the injured Salahuddin is an Afghan national and teaches in a nearby seminary.
Another report suggest that before this incident a police operation was also going on in Peshawar in which 19 suspects were detained.
