Federal Govt approves Rs. 370 million for upgradation of Cadet College Wana

KHYBER PAKHTUNKHWA: The Federal Government has approved grant of Rs. 370 million to uplift the Cadet College Wana, South Waziristan Agency, reported by the Radio Pakistan.

In a FATA Development Council meeting held in Peshawar today, FG has approved two grants; Rs. Rs. 370 million to uplift the Cadet College Wana, and Rs. 216 million for Levis Force and construction of a stadium at Jani Khel area of FR Bannu.

The grant for uplifting the Cadet College Wanna has issued to meet the aim of college “promoting quality education providing better educational opportunities to the youth of FATA.”

Former Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Ashfaq Pervez Kayani announced the establishment of cadet College Wana on 15 February 2010. The formal approval to open a Cadet College at Wana, South Waziristan Agency was given by the former Prime Minister of Pakistan Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani on 5 Nov 2010 in Parliament House. Islamabad.

The purpose was “addressing the problems of the people of this area by providing better education facilities to tribal youth”.
