Peshawar: Khyber Paktunkhwa Government on Sunday have announced two-days holiday over the first anniversary of APS Peshawar massacre which engulfed 151 lives including 140 children.
The horrific incident took place on 16 December 2014 and became the darkest day of Pakistan’s history as young lads of Pak soil were butchered by the terrorist outfits.
In remembrance of the martyers of APS different organizations, institiutes are organizing events to commemorate the day. As Imran Khan earlier gestured of holiday over the day, today officially Chief Minister Pervez Khattak announced two-days holiday on 15-16 December in the KP province.
Under the announcement all educational institutions, public and private sector offices will remain closed, however, the enforcement agancines will be deployed as per their duties.
Till now no other provincial government have announced holiday over the first anniversary of the tragedic incident.
The official announcement of the holiday by CM KP was made during his address during an event held in Islamia College Peshawar in which PTI chairman Imran Khan was along with him. And the event was organized over the completion of 100 years of Islamia College Peshawar.
Earlier, Imran Khan during his live appearance on Facebook also indicated about the holiday on the first anniverseey of APS attack.
