PESHAWAR: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Instaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan warned that he will disband the KP Assembly in case his party’s members in KPK do not vote for their party candidates.
Addressing to media representative about Senate elections – to be held on March 5 – Imran Khan said that he had informed his MPAs that if anybody is found responsible of selling their vote they will be put behind bars.
Emphasizing his statement, Mr. Khan said that PTI would take stern actions against those selling their sense of right and wrong mere for money.
PTI chairman further informed the media that the core commission of his party will make up its mind a day after the elections about moves to be taken for the next polls.
He declared that if his party came into authority, they would hold the Senate Polls ‘live’ through the votes of the public.
Meanwhile, Senate elections are scheduled to be conducted on 5th of this month to choose the replacements for 52 retiring senators. Elections are held indirectly; to win one seat in Senate. The candidates would need 52 votes from the Punjab Assembly, 24 from the Sindh Assembly, 18 from the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly and 9 from the Balochistan Assembly.
And there are 8 candidates belong to PTI for KP are participating in polls which include: Mohsin Aziz, Shibly Faraz, Fazal Muhammad, Salman Afridi, Samina Abid, Rabia Basri, Noman Wazir, and Abdul Latif Yousafzai.
