QUETTA: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) head in the Balochistan province, Sardar Sanaullha Zehri, has been designated as the new chief minister of the province.
The move has been made after a three-party coalition – PML-N, National Party (NP) and Pashhtunkhwa Mili Awami Party (PkMAP) – which sined the Murree Pact and have decided to appoint him the CM of the southern province of Pakistan.
“Senior leaders of all three collation parties have signed the agreement and I am sure Dr Malik will support me as the next chief minister as we extended our complete support to him,” said Sanaullah during a media talk last week.
Meanwhile, Zehri has become the 22nd Chief Minister of Balochistan, replacing the former CM Abdul Malik Baloch, who had been in office since June 2013.
Now with the appointment of Zehri as the CM of Balochistan, two out of four provinces of Pakistan have the CMs from the ruling party of the country as the Punjab has already been served under Shahbaz Sharif who hails from the same party.
